the_directory | May Directory & Poll

This is a catch-all directory for canon characters. A dedicated directory for original characters is under construction. I'm trying a new format this month and would appreciate any feedback you'd like to submit on the guidelines entry. Also, please vote in the poll below about the posting schedule of future directories!

Posting a Canon Heading
- Alphabetical top levels have been provided. Please respond to it with an empty comment to start a canon thread.
   ✔ See "A > Avatar" for an example.
- Articles such as a/an/the should not be used for alphabetizing.
   ✔ See "W > The Walking Dead" for an example.
- Please do not lump canons together, even for sake of streamlining.
   ✖ "Podcasts" is a medium and "Sports Anime" is a genre.
   ✔ "MCU" shares multiverse and "Game of Thrones" book and show characters are essentially the same.
NEW! - Franchises may be used as an umbrella header. Please create a franchise comment and respond with specific canon threads. This will keep them together but still distinguish the different canons.
   ✔ See "F > Final Fantasy" for an example.

Offering: Rose (main, Empatheias CR okay), Lailah, Edna ~~game canon, not the anime~~

Seeking: Canonmates or characters these series, though I'll happily tag with anyone! I'm up for memes or PSLs, canon-based, canon divergences, full AUs... I'm pretty open to most ideas, though straight up angst 24/7 isn't really my thing.

Shipping: I'm not specifically looking to ship, but my preference is M/F. Favorite pairings are Dezel/Rose and Zaveid/Lailah, and I don't ship with Edna. Not really interested in smut at the moment. ~~Unless perhaps someone else out there ships D/R...~~

Location/Style of play: Memes or PSLs, could be tempted to join a game with canonmates. Brackets on Dreamwdith. I could try prose but I can't say how well it'd work. Present tense preferred but not required. I'm looking for more than one-liner dialogue exchanges. Not necessarily paragraphs upon paragraphs of description (though I can get kind of rambling when I get into a scene), but some introspection and action would be wonderful. Acceptance of humor and slightly slow build up when IC is appreciated.

Schedule / Timezone: My tagging speed and time varies, but leans towards EST evenings/night and I will gladly backtag. No, seriously. Need a week or more? Want to tag back a thread that fell by the wayside a year ago? Go for it!
Other info: I keep a list of open memes on my journal, if any of those sound appealing!
